Evidence was the underlying theme of DIETS V. We explored the principles of gathering evidence (asking what is evidence for dietitians and where is it to be found?), teaching our students to be evidence-based practitioners; building competences; using Life Long Learning to build evidence, asking if a doctorate or professional doctorate is really necessary and defining professional quality.
It was a pleasure meeting over 200 delegates, including 80 students, in Barcelona.
I look forward to meeting more of you in Slovenia in 2012 to take this vital discussion forward.
