The ITC Working Group has the following members:
The ITC group is composed of a team of volunteers from the UK, Germany, Greece and Romania. Our aim is to assure the necessary IT capabilities for the implementation of the DIETS webpage, a necessary requirement for accessing it by visitors all over the world.
Further, we like to enable the network partners and the network working groups to communicate, acquire and exchange information on the basis of modern technology.
Therefore our first main task consists in establishing, managing and updating a website which provides you with the latest news about the network and gives you also the possibility to work on projects together.
The expected functions to be covered by the group in the benefit of the users are
- promote conferences;
- publish articles;
- provide a database of distance learning courses;
- provide document editing/tracking capability;
- enable questionnaires to be completed online;
- teach users how to work virtually;
- enable virtual meetings, teleconferencing, web-casting, video-conferencing;
- identify areas in need of upgrading;
- decide on ownership and permission of use of data;
- decide on copyright policy and statement;
- decide on data protection, confidentiality and private requirements.
The ITC group has an annual face-to-face meeting and several virtual meetings. During these meetings work is assessed and decisions are taken based on open discussions.Minutes and reports are filled for reference usage.
