You are invited to comment on a set of competency statements which have been proposed for all dietitians working within Europe. These competencies will provide a baseline from which individual countries can develop further their own competencies or standards of proficiency. Some countries already have comprehensive statements but many do not. This is your opportunity to support your colleagues throughout Europe in developing dietetic practice.
The healthcare professions of physiotherapy, occupational therapy , radiography, dentistry, midwifery and nursing have already developed their European Competency Statements and this is now our opportunity.
A questionnaire is available on your Dietetic Association’s website, so that you can register your views on the statements.
