The Network Management Group, working closely with the Thematic Network Coordinator, has overall responsibility for monitoring and overseeing the project. The NMG is chaired by a representative of the European Federation of Associations of Dietitians (EFAD).
The NMG provides leadership and support to the working groups and ensures that the terms of reference of the working groups are regularly reviewed and updated as appropriate. Each group has been allocated an identified link person who is a member of the NMG. The NMG has responsibility for allocating tasks amongst its own members and the working groups. Draft working plans have been submitted to each group. The working groups will regularly provide reports to the NMG.
Main Tasks of NMG
- Ensure the long and short term aims of the project are regularly reviewed
- Monitor activities and functions of working groups
- Ensure time schedules are met
- Keep project to budget by liaising regularly with Thematic Network Coordinator and Administrator on financial aspects of project
- Keep a clear focus
- Ensure network partners are kept informed and regularly consulted
- Encourage open honest transparent working
- Receive and produce reports
